Megaworld Hotels & Resorts (MHR) is encouraging Filipinos to explore more of the country through TARA!, a new campaign that highlights affordable stays and value-driven travel experiences across its nationwide portfolio.
Named after the familiar Filipino expression that means “Come on!” or “Let’s go!,” the campaign serves as an invitation for travelers to reconnect with destinations closer to home while making domestic travel more accessible.
The initiative was launched on July 6 at Hotel Lucky Chinatown, where members of the travel and lifestyle media, along with content creators, gathered before joining a Binondo food crawl that showcased Manila’s rich culinary heritage and demonstrated how memorable travel experiences can begin within the city.
Department of Tourism Undersecretary Stanley Ng attended the launch and cited the campaign’s alignment with the agency’s Discover More to Love initiative, which encourages Filipinos to explore more destinations across the country.

“This campaign reflects our shared belief with the Department of Tourism that domestic tourism remains one of the strongest drivers of a resilient and sustainable tourism industry,” said Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts. “Every local trip supports livelihoods, celebrates our culture, and creates meaningful economic opportunities for communities across the country. Through TARA!, we hope to make discovering more to love about the Philippines easier, more accessible, and ultimately more rewarding for every Filipino.”
Affordable stays across the country
As the country’s largest hotel operator, MHR offers more than 9,000 room keys across 16 hotels in Metro Manila, Batangas, Boracay, Cebu, and Iloilo, giving travelers a wider range of destinations to explore.

“TARA! is not just another hotel room promotion. It is an invitation for Filipinos to rediscover the incredible destinations we already have, from the heritage streets of Manila and Iloilo to the pristine beaches of Boracay and Cebu to the cool escapes of Batangas. With thousands of room keys across our portfolio, we are creating more opportunities for travelers to explore different parts of the country while enjoying the warmth of our Sampaguita brand of service wherever they go,” Loleth So, Group Commercial Director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, said.
Participating hotels are offering promotional rates starting at PHP3,800. Room-only packages are available at Belmont Hotel Manila, Savoy Hotel Manila, Grand Westside Hotel, Kingsford Hotel Manila, Richmonde Hotel Iloilo, Belmont Hotel Iloilo, and Mercure Mactan Cebu. Hotels offering the same starting rate with breakfast include Hotel Lucky Chinatown, Chancellor Hotel Boracay, Belmont Hotel Boracay, Savoy Hotel Boracay, Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, and Savoy Hotel Mactan. Eastwood Richmonde Hotel and Twin Lakes Hotel, meanwhile, offer packages from PHP5,800.
Supporting domestic tourism
The promotion runs until Nov. 29, 2026, with stays valid through Nov. 30. Guests may book directly with participating hotels or through their respective websites using the promotional code TARAMHR.
The campaign comes as domestic tourism continues to post steady growth. According to the Department of Tourism, domestic travel generated PHP3.26 trillion in tourism spending last year, up from PHP3.16 trillion in 2024.
Through TARA!, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts aims to encourage more Filipinos to discover new experiences and revisit familiar destinations while supporting local tourism communities across the country.
