PBBM’s Expanded 4PH goes full swing in Visayas

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s flagship Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program went into full swing  in the Visayas region with the launching of four housing projects targeting informal settler families (ISFs), farm workers, up to the working class continues in the cities of Bacolod and Iloilo.

Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling on Wednesday and Thursday led the series of housing activities — highlighting the administration’s intensified efforts to accelerate housing production through both rental and homeownership modalities under the Expanded 4PH Program.

In Victorias City, Negros Occidental, Secretary Aliling led the actual concrete pouring ceremony for Victorias Residences, one of the pilot rental housing projects under the Expanded 4PH Program, signaling the start of actual construction.

Located in Barangay XIX, the project will consist of at least 4 five-story residential buildings that will benefit more than 2,400 Victoriasanons, mostly informal settler families (ISFs) and farm workers. Beneficiaries invited to witness the ceremony expressed excitement as the long-awaited housing development officially entered the construction phase.

Also in Negros Occidental, Secretary Aliling graced the ribbon cutting and blessing of Deca Homes Granada in Bacolod City, a horizontal or subdivision-type housing development under the Expanded 4PH Program. Hundreds of newly completed house-and-lot units are ready for move-in and turnover to beneficiaries, including low-income workers and government employees in Bacolod City and nearby areas.

On Thursday, Secretary Aliling proceeded to Iloilo City to inspect the ongoing development of Iloilo Residences and the Uswag 4PH Condominium Complex in Jaro, Iloilo City–two housing developments under the Expanded 4PH.

Located in Barangay Sambag, Iloilo Residences is consist of two seven-story residential buildings with elevators, containing a total of 362 housing units. The development will also feature community amenities including a multi-purpose hall, health center, park and playground, and basketball court.

Meanwhile, the Uswag 4PH Condominium Complex in Barangay San Isidro  is being developed on a city-owned property and will consist of 13 ten-story residential buildings with a total of 1,677 condominium units.

Aligned with the directive of President Marcos Jr., Secretary Aliling emphasized that the Expanded 4PH Program continues to address the varying housing needs of Filipino families through sustainable, inclusive, and people-centered initiatives.

“Ang Expanded 4PH ay pinalawak natin upang matugunan ang iba’t-ibang pangangailangan sa pabahay ng ating mga kababayan. Alinsunod sa utos ng Pangulo, patuloy nating palalakasin ang pagpapatupad ng programa sa buong bansa upang mas marami pang Pilipino ang magkaroon ng maayos, ligtas, at abot-kayang pabahay asa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng nasyonal at lokal na pamahalaan at ng pribadong sektor,” the housing czar said.

Joining Secretary Aliling were DHSUD Senior Undersecretary Eduardo Robles Jr., head of the Expanded 4PH Project Management Office; DHSUD Regional Office 6 Director Eva Marfil, Negros Island Region Officer-in-Charge Director  Elenita Canete; and other DHSUD and local government officials and partner stakeholders.
