Wilcon Depot is expanding its community initiatives with the launch of the Wilcon 10-Miler Run 2026, a fitness-driven event that brings together industry partners, stakeholders, and the wider public in support of health and social impact.
Announced on March 26, the run is scheduled on June 21 in Parañaque City, where thousands of participants are expected to take part across 5K, 10K, and 16K categories. The event gathers employees, suppliers, media partners, fitness enthusiasts, and members of the construction and design sectors, reflecting a growing emphasis on wellness within and beyond the industry.
Long known for organizing golf tournaments that connect its network, Wilcon is shifting toward a more inclusive platform with the introduction of a fun run. The move opens participation to a broader audience, encouraging active lifestyles while aligning with a larger advocacy.
The initiative also underscores the company’s evolving role in promoting not just quality home improvement solutions but the overall well-being of its community.
Wilcon Depot SEVP-COO Rosemarie Bosch-Ong highlighted the intent behind the event, saying, “We’re not just promoting an active, healthy lifestyle—we’re creating opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.” She added that the initiative reflects Wilcon’s commitment to building stronger communities through shared purpose and collective action.
Ahead of the main event, a media launch offered an early look at the official race kits and introduced participants to the run’s atmosphere through interactive activities.
Beyond the race itself, the initiative carries a philanthropic dimension. Proceeds will support partner organizations focused on environmental sustainability and community development, including Bantay Kalikasan of the ABS-CBN Foundation, Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc., and Crocodylus Porosus Philippines Inc., each recognized for their work in conservation, humanitarian response, and sustainable practices.
