Aboitiz Economic Estates and Batangas State University have marked a new milestone in workforce development with the graduation of the first batch of learners under their joint Industry Microcredential Programme, reinforcing a jobs-first approach to industrial growth within LIMA Estate.

recently completed their Industry Microcredential Certification in Data Management.
The inaugural group, composed of 21 learners from various locators within LIMA Estate, completed an industry-based certification program in Data Management. The initiative was developed and implemented by Batangas State University’s Center for Innovation in Engineering Education (CIEE) in collaboration with industry partners operating within the estate.
The program reflects a broader strategy that positions education and workforce readiness as essential components of long-term industrial development. By aligning academic training with evolving operational and technological demands, the partnership aims to strengthen employability while supporting sustainable enterprise growth.
From industrial expansion to workforce development
Aboitiz Economic Estates has embedded workforce planning into the broader development framework of its industrial estates, integrating education, infrastructure, and industry requirements within a single ecosystem.
Through collaborations with academic institutions and government partners, the company aims to bridge classroom instruction with practical workplace applications, ensuring that training remains aligned with current manufacturing systems, global standards, and emerging technologies.
Within the estate model, workforce development is treated as a critical foundation for industrial expansion, with training programs co-developed alongside locators to ensure that skills formation evolves alongside industry needs.
